REV Installer Tools — Musway DSP Converter
✓ What This Tool Does
  • Converts legacy Musway binary presets into the 512k JSON format
  • Transfers tunes between different 512k DSP models (M8 → M10, etc.)
  • Transfers all EQ band data — all 31 bands per channel, gain and Q
  • Transfers HPF/LPF crossover frequencies (single-preset legacy files)
  • Auto-detects format, channel count, and preset structure
  • Normalizes filter encoding differences between DSP firmware versions
⚠ What Requires Manual Entry After Loading
  • Enable HPF/LPF per channel — frequencies load, toggle must be switched ON
  • Crossover slope types — set manually per channel
  • Crossover frequencies when using all-presets legacy files
  • Channel delays — not stored in legacy per-channel data
  • Output levels, master level, phase and polarity
  • Channel mapping when moving between different DSP models
This tool does not modify signal routing, input channel configuration, bridge/link groups, or any hardware-specific settings. Always verify the tune by ear after loading a converted file. The blank template from the target unit must be a fresh export from that specific unit — a saved tune from a different unit will cause a hardware mismatch error.

Note: The all-presets file saves all 6 presets in one file. The single-preset file saves only the current active preset. Both are binary-encoded and are not human-readable.

Hardware mismatch: If loading a file exported from a different unit, the app checks deviceNo against the connected unit. Always use a fresh blank export from the target unit as your template — never use a tune file from a different physical unit.

Step 1 — Source File
Upload the tune file you want to convert or transfer. This is the file saved from the existing DSP — the source of the EQ data.
🎛
Source Tune File
.ini.txt
Drop file or click to browse
Legacy binary .ini or 512k JSON .txt or .ini
What file is this? The preset file saved from the old Musway app (pre-512k) or exported from a 512k unit. Single preset files are ~24 KB; all-presets files are ~180 KB or larger.

Step 2 — Blank Template
Upload a blank export from the target DSP unit — the unit you're loading this tune into. Export it from the Musway app on that unit before starting. This gives the converter the correct device identity and channel count.
📄
Blank Template
.txt.ini
Drop file or click to browse
Fresh blank export from the target 512k unit
How to get this: On the target unit, open the Musway 512k app → export or save a blank (factory) preset. Upload that file here. Never use a tune from a different unit — it will cause a hardware mismatch error on load.
